Joe Jackson Gibbs, what more can I say? He is honestly one of the best coaches to ever walk the sideline. In my opinion he is the best. 3 Super Bowl Championships, with 3 different quarterbacks. You can barely find one coach that has won one Super Bowl with the same quarterback he has had for several years.
Gibbs came to the Washington Redskins in 1981. He proceeded to win super bowls in 1982, 1987, and 1991. Gibbs had more than 150 regular seasons wins in his head coaching career. In the 1993 season Gibbs, decided to step away from the Game. During his retirement in 1996, Gibbs was placed in the Pro Football hall of fame. I question how many coaches in the league will even come close to being a Hall of famer. This is I think he should be one of the best to ever coach if not the best.
In the 2004 season, Gibbs made his return to the sideline and rebuilt a team. The Redskins were struggling at the point where gibbs was needed. Gibbs came back to lead the Redskins to the playoffs twice in three seasons before stepping down again. During his last season Gibbs carried the team through a hard time, when Safety Sean Taylor was murdered. But Gibbs was a master coach and even better man. Gibbs is Responsible for putting the Washington Redskins on the map. Coaches like Bill Parcells, and Mike Holmgren have big names but have not put up the same results as Coach Gibbs.
